September 24, 2021 by Managing Director, Asset Performance Canada Carl Souchereau is the Managing Director of Asset Performance Canada, based out of the company’s office in Calgary, Alberta. Carl possesses more than 25 years of leadership experience in business process improvement, mega capital project execution, and turnaround planning in the power industry. In his current role, Carl shares responsibility for the company’s overall strategic direction and the management of its long-term growth.Prior to joining AP-Canada, Carl held several senior roles within the Alberta power industry, where he led the development and execution of large greenfield capital projects. These included high voltage DC transmission lines, combined cycle power generation, and centralized district energy systems. Additionally, Carl led the planning for large power plant turnarounds for combined cycle, co-generation, and hydro-electric technologies. Before working in the utilities industry, Carl served as an officer in the Royal Canadian Navy. He held numerous leadership roles in surface ships, deploying for missions in the Persian Gulf in 2002 and NATO in 1990 and 1992.Carl holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Royal Roads University and a Project Management Professional (PMP)® designation from the Project Management Institute.
