March 11, 2015 by March 13th – 15th, 2015 | San Francisco, California In March, AP-Networks Managing Director Brett Schroeder will present at the 2016 AFPM Annual Meeting. The conference programming will provide attendees with a wide-angle view of the state of the petroleum refining industry and the technologies that are available to make operations safer, more reliable, and more profitable. Brett’s presentation, “Benchmarking and Optimizing Maintenance Work Scope for Turnarounds,” will highlight the results of a two-year research program into measuring scope for refinery turnarounds, and will detail AP-Networks’ game-changing Turnaround Scope Index (“TSI”). In spite of the availability of scope optimization and scope challenge tools and techniques, many industry turnarounds do not achieve optimal performance due to ineffective scope identification and/or scope growth. Brett’s presentation will describe the methodology behind the development of AP-Networks’ Turnaround Scope Index benchmark, and will investigate the relationships between turnaround scope and turnaround practices and outcomes. The data Brett will present will empirically demonstrate that owners can substantially improve turnaround performance and realize cost savings by optimizing scope.
