Creating a world-leading oil and gas industry in Australia.” The report, produced by Accenture in association with the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA), focuses on Australia’s LNG industry as it prepares to transition into a production/operations phase after several years of capital-intensive construction. The report includes a section on turnarounds, titled “The Silver Bullet? Turning Around the Turnaround Situation,” that features data and insight from AP-Networks. In the report, Accenture charts a path forward for the Australian LNG industry, and lays out the requirements for transforming the industry into a global leader. John Alkemade, Director, EMEA for AP-Networks, was called upon to offer insight on opportunities for improvement in LNG turnaround planning and execution. Through analysis of turnaround benchmark data, AP-Networks was able to identify turnarounds as a critical area for the Australian LNG industry to focus on in order to establish competitiveness on a global scale. The analysis by AP-Networks quantified the potential savings from collaboration between Australian LNG operators in the timing of their turnarounds. The full report can be found here.
