Paul Zeidan is a Subject Matter Expert with Asset Performance Networks, Asia Pacific, reporting to the company’s Singapore office. A goal-oriented leader with a track record of success, Paul brings more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry to his role with AP-Networks, AP. Throughout his career, Paul has been instrumental in helping companies make a step change in successfully and consistently hitting safety, cost, and schedule targets.
Prior to joining AP-Networks, AP, Paul worked as a Senior Project Inspector for Caltex Australia, where he led quality assurance efforts on a major project to convert the refinery into a terminal. He also served as the technical consultant for the demolition of the refinery. Earlier in his career, he served as the National Aviation Operations Manager for the company. In this role, he initiated and implemented a cost reduction program that resulted in a savings of $17 million over five years. He also initiated and implemented new OH&S practices that significantly improved safety performance. Paul also held the role of Reliability and Turnaround Manager, during which time he headed a small group that successfully reduced turnaround costs by $6 million annually. He also led the successful adoption of Turnaround Best Practices developed by parent company ChevronTexaco that empowered Caltex Australia to safely deliver turnarounds on time and on budget.
In addition to his time at Caltex Australia, Paul spent several years managing the Best Practices network for Transfield Worley, helping clients identify game-changing best practices. He also served as the Project Manager for the Clean Fuel Project at Shell’s Clyde Refinery in Australia, where he led 10 supervisors and 100 employees in a nine-month effort that was delivered on time and on budget with an excellent safety record.
Paul holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
