Jens Dickmeis is a Consultant with Asset Performance Networks, based out of the company’s office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Jens brings an accomplished background in capital project management to his current role. He is a native German speaker and leverages this skillset to better serve AP-Networks’ global client base.

Prior to joining AP-Networks, Jens was tasked with project management of both major and minor capital projects for Yara. In his time with Yara, he filled various roles from process engineer to project manager.

As project manager, Jens oversaw the recovery of a design review improvement project. Leading a multidisciplinary team of 20 engineers, he completed a full design, construction, and operation review of a major fertilizer plant. He successfully adjusted the project to meet a 40 percent budget cut and got the project back on track, meeting the ambitious schedule to execute the improvement initiatives from the project in the site turnaround. These improvements—ranging from a CUI campaign to vessel and HP steam pipe replacements—were approved as capital projects. Jens developed and successfully executed all of these capital projects in the site turnaround.

Before taking on this major project, he developed several minor capital projects, guiding them from business case through engineering and procurement into execution and closeout, on time and on budget.

Jens worked in energy research prior to his engagement with Yara and holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Process Engineering from Hamburg University of Technology in Germany. He has published articles in various magazines and has spoken at major conferences around the world. In addition, Jens is a PMP-certified project manager.
