Jason Switzer is a Senior Consultant with AP-Canada, based out of the company’s office in Calgary, Alberta. Drawing on more than 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Jason brings insight from roles in both leadership and the field to his current position.
At AP-Canada, Jason draws on his experience to help clients make tangible gains in turnaround performance. By working with client turnaround steering teams to improve their effectiveness, he has helped leadership at organizations throughout the industry to take an active role in turnaround readiness. Through the execution of Turnaround Assist Programs (T-AP), Integrated Turnaround Assist Programs (iT-AP), and other AP-Canada services, he has guided sites through turnaround planning and preparation. And by aiding clients in work process development and implementation training, he has helped to solidify lessons learned and prepare sites for future success.
Throughout his career, Jason has taken part in more than 40 turnarounds throughout Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan, holding superintendent and project management roles, as well as running trade crews responsible for welding, pipe fitting, and other tasks. Jason’s extensive field experience has equipped him with an understanding of how business decisions affect operations at the “boots on the ground” level.
In addition to his oil and gas work, Jason has taught Business Communications, Oral Communications, and Technical Writing at Olds College, and served as Project Lead for the implementation of new programs and curriculum in the school’s Land Sciences program.
