Chet Unruh is a Subject Matter Expert with Asset Performance Networks, specializing in risk based scope review and turnaround assessment. He is a recognized industry expert who brings nearly 40 years of experience in the petrochemical industry to his current role.

Since joining AP-Networks, Chet has provided turnaround and capital projects consulting services for numerous clients in the refining and petrochemical industries. In addition, he helped to develop AP-Networks’ advanced risk based methodology and proprietary tools, as well as the company’s corporate integrated turnaround management system.

Prior to joining AP-Networks, Chet worked for Shell Oil in various positions in maintenance, operations, and contracts. The majority of his refinery career was spent in maintenance, where he was involved in more than 100 turnarounds of various complexities as a project engineer, maintenance engineer, and turnaround manager. He also served as Chairman of the Corporate Maintenance Management Council, a group tasked with improving maintenance competitiveness across the company’s worldwide refineries.

Chet holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University.
