Integrated Review
The interface between the capital project and turnaround teams has historically been one of the most difficult to manage and is even more critical when large projects are involved. Given recent market trends, AP-Networks has developed an extension of our basic Turnaround Assistance Program (T-AP) to better address the risks arising from large capital projects executed during the shutdown window. This new process called the Integrated Review, provides assurance that best practices are being implemented to generate safe, event-free, predictable, and competitive outcomes when a turnaround is being executed in conjunction with a significant amount of capital project work. The Integrated Review focuses equally on the status of both the capital project and turnaround. Our consultants provide your organization with an objective, outside perspective on all of the strategic decisions and tactical activities needed to implement a successful shutdown. The review helps identify potential integration issues between the project and turnaround team that could jeopardize turnaround success. Combined with AP-Networks' world class tools, our experienced staff and industry leading methodologies have consistently delivered the most cost-efficient and incident-free shutdown possible. Recent trends have only magnified the importance of planning and preparation prior to a shutdown. Industry performance for large projects executed during the shutdown window has been especially poor with very few meeting their planned goals. During this review, AP-Networks works closely with the capital project and turnaround teams to identify and mitigate risks that threaten meeting key objectives. This engagement is done in the latter stages of detailed engineering or well into construction and provides value across the entire enterprise by: - Identifying potential issues and performance gaps early to mitigate risks and avoid disasters.
- Aligning team members with each other and with the goals of upper management.
- Developing a detailed, on-target action plan for the turnaround.
