We are looking for a hands-on J2EE developer to apply analytical techniques and technical skills for the development and support of internet applications. This individual will be part of a small team developing, enhancing, and supporting Java/Tomcat and IIS applications using a Microsoft SQL Server database. The projected breakout of activities are 55% on development, 35% maintenance, and 10% other duties as assigned.

The candidate should have strong programming, troubleshooting, design, operations, and communication skills. Additionally, the candidate must be able to work simultaneously on multiple aspects of a project while developing and maintaining their own code.

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Hands-on Java development experience - .NET a bonus.
  • Master of the entire J2EE framework - Sun certification preferred.
  • Excellent SQL and Relational DB design skills.
  • An ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • An ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Must be extremely proactive and outstanding at task management and follow-through.
Education/Certifications or equivalent required:

Undergraduate or Graduate degree candidates in Computer Science or related fields.
