| Seminar Overview |
|
The current environment for executing capital projects is one of the most challenging in recent memory. The pressures to improve project performance have to be balanced against limited resources, skills and increasing costs. Data from the energy industry indicate that more than a third of all major projects were failures in meeting critical project objectives. Successful management of risk, and systemic front end project development practices, are the critical components for the delivery of predictable and competitive projects. The presentations will draw on the empirical analyses of a dataset of more than 900 projects and major turnarounds from industry. This seminar will provide participants with an overview of the lessons learned from those projects and the practices that drive superior performance. Further, the session will cover how these practices can be effectively and rapidly implemented within a project organization.
