Capital Projects

We work closely with some of the industry's largest petroleum operators to improve their processes and tool-kit for the selection and execution of Upstream (Exploration and Production) projects. Upstream projects are large, complicated endeavors characterized by a high degree of technical complexity and numerous functional interfaces. Minimizing project risks and improving readiness is key to superior capital productivity. Our project experience spans the major petroleum production regions such as the Gulf of Mexico, Alaska, Angola, the North Sea, the Caspian, S.E Asia, and the Middle East. We have developed a number of tools and worked with many operators in the following areas:

Turnarounds

APN provides tools and consulting services for both onshore and offshore turnarounds in the Upstream sector. Both offshore platforms and onshore production facilities must shutdown at regular intervals for routine inspection, maintenance, repair, and modification tasks to ensure safety and environmental compliance, operational integrity, and better commercial performance.

These shutdowns are highly critical events for operators as the potential for unplanned loss of production and a cost overrun is high. Our tools and services help shutdown teams better assess the risks prior to the shutdown and prepare for the event.
