NPRA 2010 Annual Meeting – Phoenix – March 21-23, 2010

Bethesda, Maryland, January 2010 — Asset Performance Networks presented at the NPRA (National Petrochemicals & Refiners Association) Annual Meeting taking place on March 21-23, 2010 in Phoenix. Brett Schroeder presented the paper "Managing and Optimizing the Trade-offs in Refinery Turnarounds to Reduce Costs." This paper examined the relationship between major cost-contributing factors such as labor productivity, shift-patterns, indirects, duration, and quality. The presentation identified optimal strategies for reducing turnaround costs, and highlighted some of the key trade-offs management needs to consider. The analysis is based on a database of more than 500 turnaround events.
