Brett R. Schroeder
Brett Schroeder is a co-founder and Managing Director of AP-Networks. He shares responsibility for the company's overall strategic direction, and management of its long-term growth and profitability. As co-founder, Mr. Schroeder has been instrumental in the development of the company's values, ethics, and customer-focused philosophy.
Mr. Schroeder has more than 20 years of professional experience improving capital project and plant turnaround performance in the energy, petrochemical, and construction industries. Mr. Schroeder's leadership philosophy and professional experience mirrors AP-Networks mission - combining exceptional talent with evaluative tools to generate measurable improvements in asset and operational performance.
At AP-Networks, Mr. Schroeder has helped guide the company's product and service offering that has been the catalyst for the firm's exceptional growth. He has led major assignments for petrochemical companies in the United States, Europe, and Canada. During his career, Mr. Schroeder has led hundreds of independent reviews for both upstream and downstream projects and turnarounds. He has also participated in peer assists with many owner-operator teams and brings with him a unique expertise on risk assessment and management.
In the early days of AP-Networks, he focused on the design and development of the company's web based portals and diagnostic tools. During 2001-02, Mr. Schroeder worked full-time with British Petroleum’s Great Operator team to implement a long term strategic program to improve capital productivity through the development of new project evaluation tools and work processes for its upstream business. Prior to co-founding APN in 2000, Mr. Schroeder was the Vice President of Independent Project Analysis, Inc. and managed IPA's European office in The Netherlands from 1995 through 2000. At IPA, Mr. Schroeder worked with many of the leading European energy and chemical companies in implementing project benchmarking and review programs. Earlier in his career, Mr. Schroeder played in an instrumental role in helping the US Department of Energy analyze and improve its performance in the management of Environmental Waste and Restoration projects. He has also worked as a cost analyst, estimator, and scheduler.
Mr. Schroeder is a thought leader in the industry and has been a featured speaker at industry conferences and events all over the world on risk management, contracting strategies, and benchmarking. Mr. Schroeder has a B.S and Masters of Science and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE).
